Who are you and are you trustworthy?
Currently our organisation comprises about a dozen active members. Most are employed in a large German airline which facilitates their frequent visits to South Africa. All work is executed in an honorary capacity for the non-profit organisation Rays of Hope which we founded ourselves.

We are duly registered with the District Court of Frankfurt am Main. Our account and transfers are kept in the most transparent manner.
Who pays the organisational costs - my donation?
No! All operational expenses which Rays of Hope incurs are financed out of the membership fees. Furthermore, we of course donate on the spot out of our own pockets whenever we are confronted with urgent requirements while visiting the Village. Therefore, your donations are directed exclusively and in full amount into our South African projects.
May I become a member?
Of course, please do!!! The current annual membership fee is mere € 15. Any interested person may join us in Rays of Hope to support our undertakings in cash and/or kind.
May I also assist in South Africa?
In principle this is feasible though somewhat difficult. It needs to be understood that Rays of Hope cannot shoulder any expenses so that interested parties would have to organise accommodation, mobility, and catering by themselves. Such a mission would be undertaken at own risk since we are not insured and hence could not take over any liability.
Experience has furthermore shown that sometimes the help extended to us was mistakenly understood as leading to a low cost vacation. A meaningful participation in one of the Rays of Hope projects, however, requires a clear personal engagement and high physical and psychological resilience. The benefit is the knowledge to have significantly contributed towards the enhancement of the living conditions for some of the South Africans who continue to live in a severely underprivileged environment.
Is there a receipt for my donation?
Of course, we will issue a receipt to the amount of your donation which is tax deductable.
In case of monthly standing orders we would issue the receipt by the end of the calendar year.
